Adult Choir and Special Music

The worship of God through music is an important part of all worship services at The Capital Church. We believe music is a celebration of the heart and an expression of thankfulness and praise to God for who He is and what He has done in our individual and collective lives.

The Capital Church Choir is committed to music with a message that includes "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs". Our goal is to "enter His gates with thanksgiving", and to "come into His courts with praise". Sunday morning worship is the centerpiece of The Capital Church?s music ministry. The Choir participates in Sunday Morning and First Sunday Evening Worship Services and sings special music in each of these services. The Choir presents an Easter and Christmas musical each year. Anyone who has a heart for worshiping God through music and wishes to join the Choir is invited to contact Choir Director, Billie Butler.

DIRECTOR OF ADULT CHOIR & SPECIAL MUSIC
The Director of Adult Choir & Special Music at Capital Church is Billie Butler. Billie has been involved in the music program of The Capital Church since 1976. Previously she served as Minister of Music in three Pentecostal Holiness churches in Tarboro, Raleigh, and Miami. At The Capital Church, Billie is also a part of the Instrumental Music Ensemble, playing the organ and/or piano during the congregational worship singing. After graduation from high school in Tarboro, NC, Billie attended East Carolina University and received a B.S. degree in Music Education with a major in organ and minor in piano and voice.
