Frequently Asked Questions

Is my information secure?

Yes. Only regular attendees of Capital Church can access the directory and they must log in to see it. No website visitor can see the information or create a login to access the information.

What information can other Capital Church members see?

You decide who sees what information.  All listings include: first name, last name, city, state and zip code. You can also decide to show your full address, birth date (not year), email address, phone numbers, websites and links to your social media profiles. All of these settings can be controlled under Privacy Settings. The content you share can be updated at any time under Update Your Profile.

What information about the rest of my household will be displayed?

Each household is one entry. The main contact shows the information you decide (above) and then the system lists the rest of the household (spouse, children, etc.) by name only. Their picture is included if you have uploaded one. The system also includes the option to list a household email address which we encourage you to use if you have one.

What do I need to do to get listed on the Directory?

You must be listed in our church database, which means you have filled out a Get Connected card and indicated you consider Capital Church your church home. If you are unsure if you are in the database, please contact Kellie Koch at kellie@capitalchurch.net.  Under Account you will see an option for Privacy Settings.  At the bottom of the Privacy Settings page, check the box that says “Include me in the church directory.”  Click Save Privacy Settings and you will automatically be added to the Directory.

How do I access the Directory?

To access the Directory for the first time, you need to create an account. Go to our home page at www.capitalchurch.net and click on Connect. This will bring you to the login screen. At the bottom right, select Sign Up. You will be sent a verification email so be sure you use an email address you can access. After verification, you will need to provide a password, date of birth and address if we don’t already have this information.

Can my kids have their own log in?

Capital Church attendees must be 13 years or older to create an account. The Youth Pastor will review appropriate uses of the Directory with the Youth Group.
